HI @adrian,

A lot of code requests you see here are from people that bought it second hand elsewhere or through a Chinese website, equipped with a temporary code. And since they didn’t buy it from us we can’t provide the code as we don’t have access to receiver codes not purchased through us. Global GPS Systems

So yea if you buy it through a Chinese supplier you run the risk of getting stuck with a receiver that doesn’t work.

South receivers bought through us always come with a permanent code. This code sometimes could take up to 2 weeks to deliver as they need to be approved by the factory.

That’s very useful info.

I guess the Chinese supplier might be cheaper but there is a potential deal-breaking downside.

I am about to buy a second hand G7 receivers, I see it request activation code, because it expired!
