I bought a G1 system last year and it works great, it picks up between 15-20 satellites and has a SMA connection on the antenna and the top of the receiver is gray.
I recently purchased a “New Galaxy G1” with the TNC antenna and black top, it picks up 20-30 satellites and works even better.
My question is what is the difference in the two units? Do they have different antennas internally or does one have more channels than the other. I just cannot find a manual for the older G1 with the SMA antenna.
